Native Tree Walk
Join The Conservation Volunteers for a leisurely walk around the Ulster Folk Museum to see and learn about the beautiful native trees of Ireland and foster a deeper connection to the natural world.
On this walk you will have an opportunity to learn how to identify different tree species and discover their important role in the local eco-system. You’ll also hear how different tree species have shaped the history, folklore and landscape of Northern Ireland.
During the walk you will learn about the vital work The Conservation Volunteers are doing to preserve these trees and the challenges posed by invasive species, climate change, and human activities and have a chance to visit our on-site tree nursery.
Please note:
- Suitable for adults and children 8 years+. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
- This event will be ouside and will involve walking, please wear appropriate clothes and footwear
