Children's Birds of Prey (Raptor) Identification Workshop with CEDaR
Dr Eimear Rooney from the Northern Ireland Raptor Study Group is going to be leading this special event aimed at children with an interest in raptors (birds of prey).
We will also get a special visit from the Northern Ireland School of Falconry! Suitable for children aged 8+
Schedule for day
- 11am – 12.30 – Classroom based activities and training on identifying raptors (Lagan Room)
- 12.30 – 1pm – Lunch break
- 1pm – 2pm – Outdoor activities with Northern Ireland School of Falconry (Drumcree Field)
- 2pm – 3pm – Arts and crafts activities
What to know:
- Location - Ulster Folk Museum
- All levels of species identification experience are welcome.
- Suitable clothing and footwear for outside.
- Please consider bringing along sunscreen, a hat and water.
- Please bring a packed lunch
- Suitable for children aged 8 years+
- Children must be accompanied by an adult - a ticket must be booked for both child and adult
