Wildlife Walk - A beginner's guide to species spotting with CEDaR
These informal sessions are a beginner’s guide to biological recording. Based in Northern Ireland, the Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR), encourages our citizen scientists to submit their species sightings.
These records help us to track species trends, write reports, inform legislations, locate our endangered species and much more, all helping to tackle the biodiversity crisis and our understanding of the impacts of climate change. We are always encouraging more recorders and recording, so come join us on an informal guided walk as you try your hand at identifying species found in the grounds of Ulster Folk Museum!
- Your ticket includes general admission to the museum – please come before or stay after to enjoy the museum (Ulster Folk Musuem opens 10am - 5pm)
- This is a slow-paced walking event that will take place rain or shine
- Suitable for everyone, from young to old, no experience needed
- Meet your guide outside the museum Tea Rooms
- The event will last 45mins – 1 hour
