Halloween at the Ulster Folk Museum

Across three days, the Folk Museum comes alive with mask‑making, mumming, murder mysteries, crafts, uncanny characters, seasonal food and spooky storytelling. It’s Halloween as it was once celebrated in Ireland, rooted in the origins of Samhain and All Hollow's Eve. 

Our Halloween activities will be taking place on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday 29th October – 10:00 to 16:00
  • Friday 30th October – 10:00 to 16:00
  • Saturday 31st October – 10:00 to 16:00

What to Know:

  • An accessible bus will be in operation all 3 days. The bus will transport visitors from overflow carpark at UFM and then begin transportation from UTM carpark once UFM parking is at full capacity
  • We are expecting a high volume of visitors, so parking will be limited. Green tickets are available with a 20% discount for anyone making use of public transport
  • You can arrive anytime between 10:00 & 14:45
  • There will be an additional café point in Parochial Hall
  • The murder mystery reveal will be on Saturday 31st October. The identity of the murder will also be posted on our socials

Ticket purchases

We ask for an optional 10% donation towards our charitable work when you buy your ticket.   

You can make your donation go further by ticking the Gift Aid box when completing your purchase.  National museums NI will be able to claim an extra 25% of the value of your ticket from HM Revenue and Customs at no extra cost to you.
