Burns, Whisky & Words: A Whisky Tasting Experience
During this guided whisky tasting, you’ll explore three single malt Scotch whiskies, each chosen for its deep connection to a defining chapter in Robert Burns’ life. Every 35ml dram is paired with a whisky-led canapé created by The Edible Flower, and accompanied by a carefully selected Burns poem to deepen your connection to the whisky and Burns.

Distilleries
Our whisky pairings are sourced from 3 distilleries:
Whisky made from barley grown from the same land that Burns tended when he lived at Lochlea, during his formative years.
Canapé: Paired with a Haggis bonbon and whisky sauce
Burns writes about the challenges faced by distilleries and laments that so many end up closing down. The Glenturret distillery is Scotland’s oldest distillery and was established during Burns’ lifetime. The distillery is also located just over 50 miles outside Edinburgh, where Burns lived when he rose to literary fame.
Canapé: Paired with smoked salmon and whisky-infused cream cheese on an oatcake.
The Annandale Distillery has released a “Man O' Words” range of whiskies, dedicated to Burns, who spent the last years of his life in Dumfries and is buried there.
Canapé: Paired with cranachan
