Homes in Focus - Tea Lane

Join Victoria Millar, Senior Curator of History, for a talk on the Tea Lane Houses to learn about these iconic museum buildings, discover what life was like for those who lived here, and explore the research that goes on behind the scenes.

Homes in Focus is a series of intimate talks that take place in the Ulster Folk Museum’s beautiful buildings, delving into the lives of those who lived in them and the history of these unique homes.

For the next iteration of 'Homes in Focus', we’ll be gathering in the Tea Lane Houses.  Originally located off Sandy Row in Belfast, the houses were built for workers in the nearby textile mills and brickfields in Sandy Row. They are believed to be amongst the earliest surviving examples of industrial housing in Belfast.
