Plant Pathogenic Fungi Training Course

Fascinated by Fungi? Delve into the world of plant pathogens with CEDaR this spring!

Please note: This activity is taking place in Killard National Nature Reserve

This CEDaR training course is a fully outdoor session, meeting at the Mill Quarter Bay layby, attendees will walk across the beach together to Killard National Nature Reserve.

Jake Dalzell will walk us through how to identify different species of Plant Pathogenic Fungi. We will break for lunch outdoors at Killard NNR during the session. 

Important information

  • Appropriate footwear (walking boots/wellies) is essential, along with weather appropriate clothing.
  • Please carry a packed lunch and water with you
  • We will leave the site at 3.30pm at the latest and walk back to the layby.
  • Tea and coffee will be provided at the end of the event.
  • Hand lenses are recommended, but will available to borrow on the day.
  • Suitable for 16+
  • Please note that there will be no toilet or handwash facilities on site, please do factor this in to your travel plans.
