Bees and Wasps Training Course

It's all a-buzz for our pollinators this summer! Join us for a beginner identification course in bees and wasps at White Park Bay.

This CEDaR training course begins with an indoor session at Ballintoy Parish Hall where Owen Beckett (NBDC) will present key id features of our winged friends. Tea and coffee will be available.

Please bring a packed lunch and water to enjoy before the afternoon session, where we will put our new skills to the test and identify species of bees and wasps at White Park Bay beach.

Appropriate footwear (walking boots/wellies) is essential, along with weather appropriate clothing, and we recommend long trousers and sleeves to avoid pesky insect bites during fieldwork.

Hand lenses are recommended, but will available to borrow on the day.
