Introduction to Handloom Weaving
Our expert weaver, Joanne Glassett, will guide you on using a 4 shaft table loom throughout this one day taster session.
You'll be introduced to the principles of hand weaving, and have the time to experiment with patterns, colours and textures in a relaxing and encouraging environment. Take your unique woven pieces home with you, along with some suggestions for final uses.
Important Information:
- Participants limited to 4 maximum.
- Lunch is included in the museum tea rooms.
- Looms will be set up in advance and you will have access to a selection of yarns with which to weave.
